The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority selected Urban to perform marine engineering services in connection with physical inspections of all State-owned piers and several City-owned piers on the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers. After the collapse of Pier 34 on the Delaware River, the City's Department of Licenses and Inspections engaged Urban to investigate conditions at that privately-owned pier.
