Urban's design efforts on Terminal B/C at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport earned the firm an Honor Award from U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Rodney E. Slater. The project was cited for providing excellent intermodal connections between roadways, rapid transit, and airlines. Urban designed a new roadway system to maximize curbside utilization and to expedite passenger drop-off and pick-up. Innovative computer-based design methods conform to Federal Aviation Administration and National Fire Protection Association design criteria.
