Urban will help the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) expand the Interstate Route 84 Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) into the Plainville/Southington Area. This project, once constructed, will link the Hartford ATMS with Waterbury's ATMS. ATMS elements in the Plainville/Southington area that the Urban Team expects to design include Variable Message Signs (VMS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), traffic flow monitoring devices, fiber optic and conduit installations, and all necessary traffic engineering and electrical considerations. The work will be undertaken by Urban's New England office in Hartford, Connecticut. |
