Urban Engineers, Inc. to design road improvements in Cape May County

Urban Engineers, Inc. has been selected by the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization to undertake preliminary engineering scoping services for improvements to Dennisville-Petersburg Road (CR 610), located in Dennis Township, Cape May County, New Jersey.

CR 610 is a two-lane highway linking New Jersey Route 47 at its southern terminus and Tuckahoe Road (CR 631) to the north. The project was initiated by Cape May County to address the problems of excessively long queue lengths and a high number of accidents during the summer season at the CR 610/Route 47 intersection; deficient sight distance along CR 610; poor quality of bituminous pavement resulting in rutting, localized settlement and ponding; susceptibility to flooding during intense rainfall; and deficient roadside safety features.

This project will be managed by Urban's Pennsauken, New Jersey office.
