Urban named one of the 100 best places to work in PA
. . . . . . . . . . .
Urban Engineers, Inc. has been honored as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The award, created last year by the Ridge-Schweiker Administration, is the first of a kind offered by a state. The program is a public/private partnership of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Team Pennsylvania Foundation, Kuntz Lesher LLP, Central Penn Business Journal, and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.

The survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. A scientific survey was sent to the employers and employees to collect data to rank the companies.

Secretary of Labor and Industry, John L. Butler, described the winning firms as a "shining example of the high-caliber employees that make Pennsylvania a leader among the states and a competitor among nations."

The winners were chosen by the Great Place to Work Institute using the same formula as the Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work for in America."
