Sandra L. Garz has joined Urban as director of facilities business development. In her new position, she will be responsible for developing business opportunities for design and construction management services for buildings and facilities and for improving liaison with the architectural community.

Ms. Garz has over 27 years of experience in the private, non-profit and government sectors. She earned a BA degree in Environmental Design from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MCP degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, she is chair of the board of Philadelphia’s Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), the first charter school of its kind in the United States. For several years, Ms. Garz was executive director of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
