Urban has been selected by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority to provide construction management and inspection for the construction of improvements to Interchange 12 of the New Jersey Turnpike. The project, which is one of the largest initiatives in the Turnpike Authority’s construction program, consists of three contracts providing over $110 million of construction improvements and affects over 100,000 daily patrons.

Located at Milepost 95.9 in the Borough of Carteret, Middlesex County, Interchange 12 is one of the most congested toll plazas on the New Jersey Turnpike system. The proposed improvements include the construction of a new toll plaza facility, reconfiguration of the toll plaza entrance and exit ramps, upgrades to local roads in the vicinity of the Turnpike ramps and construction of a new connector road.
