Urban Engineers, Inc. has been selected by the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority (PRPA) to provide design engineering services for security improvements at marine terminals owned by the PRPA.

Security provisions comprise a growing segment of Urban’s design services. Urban has recently designed security improvements and components at various airports and at intermodal rail yards for CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads. Our security work has encompassed threat analysis; separation of vehicle and cargo flows; crash-resistant gates and bollards; CCTV and lighting improvements; and electronic card readers and other related vehicular and pedestrian access control systems.
