Susan L. Best, PE is Delaware County Engineer of the Year |

The Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE) has named Urban’s Susan L. Best, PE as the Delaware County Engineer of the Year. A dinner was held in her honor at the Towne House in Media, Pennsylvania on February 16, 2005.
A long time member of the PSPE’s Delaware County Chapter, Best enjoys an outstanding career in transportation engineering in the Delaware Valley.
She is a Senior Life Member of the Society of Women Engineers, serves as President of District 2 of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Senior Vice-Chair of the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Council, and is also a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Engineers Club of Philadelphia.
Best is active in the Boy Scouts of America program, serving on several committees for the Cradle of Liberty Council and for Scout Troops 32 (Drexel Hill) and 296 (Havertown).
She is also active in her church, serving as their Fundraising Campaign Director and President of the Congregation Council.
A registered professional engineer in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, Best joined Urban in 2002. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in civil engineering from California State University of Los Angeles.
