The Intelligent Transportation Society of Connecticut (ITS-CT) presented Urban with its Outstanding Achievement Award during the organization’s Annual Meeting on September 19th. The honor was awarded to Urban in recognition of design of the Philadelphia International Airport Over-Height Vehicle Detection System. Though not a Connecticut project, the organization recognizes work done by its members outside the state. Jim Bilella was on hand to accept the award on Urban’s behalf.

ITS-CT also presented Najib Habesch with an award in appreciation of his outstanding and dedicated service as president of the organization. During Najib’s presidency the organization successfully promoted research, deployment and operation of intelligent transportation systems.
