Urban has appointed Pasquale “Pat” Dougherty as Branch Manager-Design in the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania office. Pat joined Urban in 2001 as senior project manager in the firm’s Philadelphia office after a 33 year career that included employment with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and several other consulting firms.

A registered professional engineer and professional land surveyor in Pennsylvania, Pat holds master’s and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Villanova University. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and the Engineers Club of Philadelphia. In 1997, he served as national president of the American Society of Highway Engineers. Pat was elected Engineer of the Year for 2001 by the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Council. He was also elected Delaware County Engineer of the Year for 2003 by the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. Pat serves on the Board of Directors of the Engineers Club of Philadelphia and the Villanova University Engineering Alumni Society.
