The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of American selected Urban’s I-81 Reconstruction Project as the 2006 Project of the Year (over $10 million) for Transportation Projects in the Central, PA Region.

This project, which will be recognized at the CMAA’s awards banquet on May 1st, was located in Dauphin County and managed from Urban’s Mechanicsburg office.

Under the direction of Project Manager Harry Foltz, PE, the four-year, $74.5 million project spanned nearly six miles and included reconstructing the mainline roadway pavement and shoulders and improving interchange ramps and structures. The project also included updating signage, installing seven overhead variable message signs, and new drainage, guiderail, pavement markings, and lighting.
