Urban wins On-Call Contract at Sussex County Airport

Urban has been appointed by Sussex County, Delaware as the on-call engineer for Sussex County Airport.  This is a three-year term with potential for two one-year extensions. 

The County has programmed several major projects over the next few years on which Urban may assist. These include:

1.  Runway 04/22 Extension

2.   Runway 10/28 Parallel Taxiway and Drainage Design

3.  Decommissioning of Runway 13-31

4.  Obstruction Removal

5.  Main Apron Expansion

6.  General Aviation Area Development, including Environmental Assessment

7.  Design of Wetlands Mitigation Projects

Urban had previously worked at Sussex County Airport in the late 1980s performing land acquisition, avigation easements, and obstruction removal services.  Sussex County Airport is the second general aviation airport in Delaware at which Urban has an on-call contract, the other being Summit Airport near Middletown, DE.
