Urban wins DVRPC Project

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission recently selected Urban Engineers for the Scoping Project at the Intersection of Haddon Avenue (CR 561) and Franklin Avenue (CR 692) in Berlin Township, Camden County, NJ.

The result of peak-period traffic having increased by 30 percent since Haddon Avenue was widened in 2004, this intersection was not widened at the time and now experiences serious traffic back ups at all four legs of the intersection.

After local officials petitioned for this project, Urban was selected to:

• Evaluate a range of alternative solutions;
• Develop and build support for an Initially Preferred Alternative to improve traffic flow; and
• Complete the environmental document needed to carry this federally funded project to final design.   

The project is expected to commence in September.
