Bilella named Practice Leader for Streetscape Design Services

James Bilella has been promoted to Practice Leader for Streetscape Design Services, the firm announced recently.

Joining Urban in June 1994, Mr. Bilella has gained extensive experience designing and managing streetscape projects in addition to performing inspection services for a number of clients, including civic associations, municipalities, and community development corporations.

Bilella, who earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Drexel University, is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.

In the newly created position, Bilella will oversee the firm’s streetscape projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut.

Several of Urban’s successful streetscape projects include: the Ben Franklin Parkway Lighting Improvements for the Center City District in Philadelphia; the Lincoln and Union Street Enhancements for the City of Wilmington, Delaware; and the Park Street Enhancements for the City of Hartford, Connecticut.
