Another Successful Blood Drive for Urban

The Fifth Annual Urban-Sponsored Red Cross Blood Drive was a success as employees at Urban’s Philadelphia office donated 23 pints of blood.

According to the Red Cross, each pint of blood collected can save as many as three lives.  Therefore, as many as 69 hospital patients will benefit from Urban’s employees’ blood donations.            

Each donation given can be ready for use by medical personnel in as little as 48 hours, according to the Red Cross.

The response from Urban’s employees continues a company-wide trend of activism and caring about the surrounding community.  This trend includes, among numerous others, annual participation in “Toys for Tots,” the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Philadelphia & Vicinity Corporate Run/Walk, and the Future City Competition for seventh and eighth grade students interested in various aspects of the engineering profession.
