Urban Supports Variety Club's Annual Fundraiser

Urban employees volunteered their lunch time to support the 50th Anniversary of Variety Club’s Old Newsboys’ Day.

Volunteers manned the corner of 6th and Walnut Streets and collected $130 by selling the Variety Club’s “Happiness Edition.” The paper is filled with joyful stories about Variety’s children and recent events/activities, such as their Sesame Place Challenge and Celebrity Golf Buddy Program.

Variety, an international children’s charity that has been servicing disabled children since 1935, provides social, therapeutic, recreational, and educational opportunities to children with disabilities.

The Urban participants were excited and enthusiastic to take part in the Variety Club’s oldest and most popular fundraiser.
