Urban Employees Presented with the Firm's 2006 Outstanding Awards

President Edward D’Alba recently recognized three dedicated employees by presenting them with 2006 Outstanding Awards.  Kate Mundie of the Highway Department received an Outstanding Suggestion Award and Charlotte Hinton of Corporate Development received the Outstanding Performance Award.  Hartford’s Jay Bertoli was awarded second place.

Mundie, who joined Urban in 2004, has made numerous suggestions to improve the firm’s cost savings.  She initiated an Urban art contest for this year’s Holiday Cards, creating for significant cost-savings by using a local printer.

A graphic designer, Hinton, joined Urban over 12 years ago.  She was recognized for dedication to her duties and for her efforts to enrich life at Urban by organizing and managing activities that spread the firm’s name and establish good working relationships.  She has managed the Urban softball team and participated in the Corporate 5K Run/Walk benefiting United Cerebral Palsy.

Bertoli, a project manager at the firm’s Hartford office, has been significantly involved with securing Urban’s role in several City of Hartford projects.  He is also an excellent mentor to the junior staff, demonstrating his patience and knowledge.
