David J. Sands named ASCE Fellow

Urban's David J. Sands PE, has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. This honor is bestowed on just 5% of the total ASCE membership, and is reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the civil engineering profession.

Sands, who joined Urban in 1999, is responsible for managing the technical services associated with design of transit and railroad facilities. His 34 years of professional experience includes project management of large capital improvement projects for transit and railroad infrastructure modernization, upgrade, and improvement.
A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, and Indiana, Sands holds masters and bachelors degree in civil engineering from Villanova University.
