Carol C. Martsolf, PE named Manager of Professional Career Development



In her role as Manager of Professional Career Development, Martsolf will continue to develop and manage corporate-wide training programs to enhance employees’ professional development. In addition, she will advance Urban’s Mentoring Program and serve as an advisor to Urban employees through involvement in career leadership programming and orientation for new employees.

Urban’s International Association for Continuing Education Training (IACET) Certification and Training program, which enables employees to meet their continuing education requirements, will be managed by Martsolf. She was instrumental in expanding Urban’s internal training program which is open to all employees and includes various practice areas.

Martsolf, who joined Urban in May 2003, earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Temple University and is a professional engineer in Pennsylvania. Martsolf serves as President of the Philadelphia Chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Women’s Transportation Seminar; and Vice President of the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation. Also, she is Chair of Scholarships for the Delaware Valley Engineers’ Week Council. In addition, she serves on the advisory board of Temple University’s College of Engineering Alumni; Rowan University’s College of Engineering; the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia, and Pen Trans. Martsolf recently co-founded the Urban Women’s Professional Network, which provides professional guidance to all women within Urban through mentoring and networking.
