Urban on Team for Ardmore, Pa. Redevelopment

Urban Engineers is part of the Philadelphia-based EBL&S Development team that was selected by the Lower Merion Township Commissioners to redevelop Ardmore's business district. Urban will be responsible for site/civil engineering, traffic engineering, and railroad coordination.

Located on the historic mainline, just west of Philadelphia, the plan for Ardmore calls for a new multimodal train station for SEPTA and Amtrak, significant parking improvements, retail, enhancements for pedestrians throughout Ardmore, and additional residential and mixed-use development. Included will be a hotel, some 700 residential units, 44,000 square feet of retail; a 11,250-square-foot community theater; and a 6,000-square-foot train station, and an additional 2,000 parking spaces in garages and lots.
