In an effort to better serve an expanding client base, Urban Engineers of New York, P.C. has reorganized the Buffalo, NY operations, the firm announced recently.
Garret A. Meal, PE, has been named Chief Engineer of the firm’s Buffalo Office. Among his tasks, Meal will be responsible for staffing and the time, cost, and quality of the office’s services.
Meal, with more than 10 years of experience, joined Urban in 2003. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Rochester. He is a Professional Engineer and a member of the American Water Works Association and the NYS Rural Water Association.
Meanwhile, Curt R. Krempa, PE, F.ASCE, in our Buffalo office is now responsible for developing Urban’s bridge and building practices and increasing the firm’s overall presence in western New York.
Krempa joined Urban in 1987 and is a registered Professional Engineer in New York and Pennsylvania. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
A Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Krempa is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - New York State, Western Region Past President; Transportation Committee, NYS Business Council; Transportation Council, Buffalo Niagara Partnership; and Buffalo Development Council, Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
