Red Cross Bloodmobile Visits Urban

The American Red Cross made its annual Spring visit to Urban and Urbanites responded by contributing 23 pints of much needed blood for Philadelphia area hospitals. According to the Red Cross, each pint of blood collected can save as many as three lives.

This is the sixth consecutive year that the Red cross has parked its Bloodmobile next to Urban’s Walnut Street Headquarters.

The response from Urban’s employees continues a company-wide trend of activism and caring about the surrounding community. This includes such activities as annual participation in “Toys for Tots,” the United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia & Vicinity Corporate Run/Walk, and the Future City Competition for seventh and eighth grade students interested in the engineering profession.
